95.2 Kg. The weight loss journey begins.

I weighed myself this morning and the scale read 95.2 kg. Despite being a 'personal trainer' I have to admit it has been difficult for me to lose weight this year. But that all ends today. This is what this blog is all about: to keep track of my weight loss progress and hopefully will inspire and help others lose weight as well.

The goal

My goal is to reduce 10 per cent of by body weight by November 14 2013 (within three months time). I should weigh around 85 kg by that time, an ideal weight for my height. 

How will I accomplish my goal? 

My simple plan is basically to eat three meals a day and make sure that each meal does not exceed 600 calories. I'm targeting 1800 calories a day coupled with at least 30 minutes of exercise (mix of cardio and strength training) every day. I will eat normal (Bruneian) foods and cut down but not eliminate junk food since I will be gradually changing my lifestyle.  

I will post my weekly weigh in results every Tuesday and will reflect on what I did right or wrong.
